DESCRIPTION:George Washington’s Close Call: How a missed bullet in Forward Township forged America’s beginnings \nForward Township will hold an America 250 PA Celebration on May 17\, 2026\, at 2pm\, as part of the 250th anniversary celebration of our Nation’s founding. The Township celebration is a free community event (tickets required by filling out this form) that will be hosted at the beautiful Glen Eden Barn on Dufford Road. \nThe celebration will include George Washington and Christopher Gist historical reenactors who will recount events surrounding Washington’s near assassination here in the township\, in addition to French & Indian War reenactors\, a presentation of Township history\, patriotic songs and music\, educational information tables\, and refreshments. \nThis wonderful community event is a collaborative effort of Township and community area volunteers\, Township leadership\, and two Seneca Valley Senior High students – Josh Radonovich and Anita Miller.
