About
The Pennsylvania Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial (America250PA) was established by the legislature and Governor in 2018 to plan, encourage, develop and coordinate the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States, Pennsylvania’s integral role in that event, and the impact of its people on the nation’s past, present, and future.

The America 250 PA Butler County initiative is a collaborative effort between the local government, businesses, and community organizations to celebrate the 250th anniversary of America’s founding. The initiative aims to highlight the historical significance of Butler County by showcasing cultural events, educational programs, and public exhibitions that promote American values such as freedom, unity, and diversity. The initiative will also focus on sustainable practices and community involvement in order to foster a sense of pride and belonging among citizens. Through this initiative, individuals of all ages and backgrounds will have the opportunity to learn about the past, present, and future of America, and strengthen their connection to the community.
